Nic Smock is the second-generation Owner and President of Don Smock Auction Company, Indiana’s largest and most trusted heavy-equipment auction firm. Established in 1992 by his father, Don Smock, the company has grown into a nationally recognized leader in construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment auctions—serving thousands of buyers and sellers across the United States and abroad.
Nic also leads Universal Liquidation Specialists (ULS), DSA’s sister company focused on commercial liquidations, bankruptcy assets, and specialized asset-recovery projects. Known for his ability to navigate complex equipment portfolios, Nic works closely with banks, attorneys, contractors, and business owners to maximize value while taking risk off the seller’s plate.
With a highly experienced team—appraisers, sales specialists, setup crews, administrative staff, and technicians—Nic prioritizes professionalism, efficiency, and a family-oriented company culture. He is particularly proud of DSA’s 60-acre headquarters, award-winning marketing, and unmatched reputation for buyer confidence and seller success.
Beyond the auction block, Nic is deeply engaged in community service and youth development. He serves on the Board of Directors for The Jackson Center for Conductive Education, supports Noblesville High School athletics through Miller Backers, serves on the Noblesville High School Lacrosse leadership group, and contributes to long-term planning as a member of the Strategic Committee for Noblesville United Soccer Club (NUSC). His work in these organizations reflects his commitment to improving opportunities, safety, and experiences for local youth and families.
Nic lives in Noblesville, Indiana with his wife, Samantha, and their children—who keep him busy year-round with soccer, lacrosse, and school activities.

Outside of work, Amy is a devoted mother who balances her professional life with her commitment to family. She actively volunteers with the Hamilton Heights Band Boosters, supporting her daughter’s passion for music and dance. Mark Woodward serves as the Eastern Indiana Senior Sales Manager for Don Smock Auction Company and has been a key member of the team since 2007. With nearly two decades of experience representing DSA across the region, Mark brings deep industry knowledge, dependable customer service, and a relationship-driven approach to every project he leads.
Mark is hands-on through every step of the process, from initial site visits and equipment assessments to coordinating logistics and supporting setup and cataloging teams. His calm, practical, and solutions-oriented approach has earned him long-standing relationships and a reputation for getting the job done right.
A dedicated ambassador for DSA, Mark plays a vital role in the company’s growth and regional presence. His years of experience, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer satisfaction make him an essential part of DSA’s continued success.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys family time and cruising in his convertible.

Jon Hosier serves as the Western Indiana Sales Manager for Don Smock Auction Co., Inc., a pivotal member of the team overseeing regional customer relationships and auction opportunities across western Indiana. In his role, Jon manages sales operations, act as lead contact for key accounts, and helps plan and execute several major auctions annually.
In his current position, Jon is a hands‑on leader responsible for coordinating multiple live and online auctions, facilitating inspections, working with consignors, and serving as the point of contact for bidders at events such as large truck‑and‑equipment sales and INDOT surplus auctions. His contact information appears consistently listed in promotional materials as the Sales Manager and primary point of contact for events in western Indiana.
Jon lives locally in the Pendleton/Markleville, Indiana area. His background in public service and commitment to customer care have made him an integral part of DSA’s continued reputation for excellence in equipment auctions across the Midwest.
